FOODCOIN ECOSYSTEM continues to cooperate with STAUFEN.INOVA. Last week CEO of FOODCOIN ECOSYSTEM Gregory Arzumanian participated in Round Table Event on the theme “Responsive Organisations - Are Hierarchies Obsolete”. Speakers introduced the topics of optimization and digitizing of the current business model in the food industry.

The next essential event is scheduled to take place on April 25. The breakfast talk will provide inspiration on the subject of "Radical openness: the ultimate demand of the market". The event will be attended by representatives of the largest food producers, distributors, logistics companies, food white label service providers and private labels.

As one of the keynote speakers, Gregory Arzumanian will present a technical solution for planning optimization and improving sustainability of supply chains for coffee and cocoa global markets. He will show how blockchain can change and digitize the chocolate industry, containing document flow, providing direct communication with end consumers and increasing credibility.

Besides, there will take part three more speakers.

Anita Aerni, a representor of UTZ, a certification program for sustainable farming of coffee, tea, cocoa and hazelnuts, will show how certification system should be adjusted to meet customer needs as well as to improve social, environmental and economic benefits in developing countries experiencing structural poverty. UTZ has an extensive and illustrative certification experience: 610,000 cocoa farmers, 520,000 coffee farmers and 115,000 tea farmers and workers benefit from the UTZ program in 25 countries.

Jessica Herschkowitz, from Chocolats Camille Bloch SA, a traditional family business founded in Bern in 1929, will tell about unique experience of dealing with the dynamically changing requirements and digitizing processes along the entire supply chain, from the cocoa bean to the chocolate bar, and profits of that transparency.

Jürg Hodel, executive Director at Staufen.Inova AG, will present features of the connections among different areas to ensure the necessary data transparency, based on food chain, from the origin of the raw materials, intermediaries, logistics, to detailed product composition.

These raised topics will be central to the subsequent discussion. We hope that the event will influence the development of the whole industry and we are pleased that FOODCOIN ECOSYSTEM will become part of it.
